Under cover of night, the sun enters Aquarius, initiating a month of forward-thinking and weird science.  The New Moon occurs at 0° of Aquarius at 5:14 am Pacific / 8:14 am Eastern.  Luna then makes her first aspect of the cycle, a sextile to Saturn in Sagittarius, illuminating and enhancing the Water Bearer's influence.  We must exercise discipline, apply our best effort and master the rules of the game.  That is how we will learn to break them artfully.  

Venus in Aquarius opposes retrograde Jupiter in Leo.  Then, Mars conjoins Neptune in Pisces.  It's a tense day of telling truths and facing facts.  It takes a lot of love to bring unwelcome knowledge into the light.  People may not respond well; they may even resent us for speaking up.  But there are times when we must care more about our friends than we do about what they think of us.  

Venus in Aquarius sextiles Uranus in Aries, sending sparks through our minds and hearts.  We find surprising points of connection between ourselves and those we had once considered "other."  Strangers peer into our lives like alien anthropologists.  They're unable to take anything they see for granted, and so we rediscover the mundane and the everyday through their fresh perspectives.  It can be a shock to the system, but it is a necessary one. 

Mars trades his lightning rod for a trident as he plunges from Aquarius into Pisces. The Libra moon trines Venus and Mercury in Aquarius during the early morning hours. The circuit is completed by a lunar opposition to Uranus in Aries. Intense feelings require objectivity and skillful navigation. It is important to remain aware and stay in touch with our emotions. They can be consciously channeled into precise intentions and fuel our success. Or, if ignored, they can erupt unconsciously and sabotage our best efforts.
